The 458 Spider will get its official unveiling at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, but Ferrari has released this video showing off its brand new retractable hardtop. It looks to be a pretty trick piece of kit. With the roof up, you’d be hard pressed to tell it apart from it’s fixed roof sibling, but when down, it stows away neatly in two pieces between the cabin and the engine bay. There will no doubt be a weight penalty that comes with the 458 Spider, but when a car looks this good with its roof both up and down, who cares!?
