Ferrari specialists DK Engineering opened their doors to visitors on March 12th 2011 for an invite-only Open Day, and Drive Cult was there to have a nose around and take some photos of expensive Italian metal.

One of the highlights of DK's current stock, a gorgeous black Ferrari 365 Daytona. -
In this colour, the Daytona is pure GT car porn. -
Daytona wheel detail. -
This Daytona has the earlier fixed headlights behind plexiglass. Later models featured popup headlamps. -
One bank of the quad-pipe exhausts. Yum. -
A rather lovely Ferrari 512BB. -
Such a lovely front to the 512. -
The 512 and my favourite car of the day, a Ferrari F50 in Giallo Modena. -
More F50 porn. I couldn't stop looking at this car. Hypnotically special. -
Ferrari 166. I love this colour combination of silver and wine red. -
166 interior. This car was recently campaigned in the Mille Miglia. -
I love the 360 Modena, and I really couldn't understand why the owner had this particular plate on his car... -
I discovered this lovely Ferrari 365GTC/4 hiding away in a shed next to the dyno. I rather like this car, and even the colour. -
DK had kindly opened up their workshop to visitors, which gave me a rare chance to see the heart of a Ferrari F40. It just reeks of homologation special under that engine cover. -
Speaking of F40s, not only was there an unclothed example in the workshop, but two others were parked outside! I've never seen this many up close. They are desperately special cars. I want one. This, by the way, was my favourite photograph from the day. -
More F40 porn. -
Another Daytona, this one a more familiar example! Drive Cult's own (very) long-termer took both Matt and I to DK. -
One of only two Porsches in evidence, this Sport Classic example belonging to another visitor.
