Even though it's not held anywhere near the vicinity of its namesake any more, the Dakar Rally is still one of the last great untamed and truly dangerous motor races in the world. It's being held in Argentina and Chile again, and our friends at Desert Dingo Racing have put together this comprehensive online resource for following the race. Rally legend Carlos Sainz is currently leading the car class in his Volkswagen Touareg, and interestingly Mini has entered a few desert race-prepped versions of its Countryman (pictured), which proves once and for all that it is an SUV.
